The Impact of Gamification “Kahoot App” in Teaching English for Academic Purposes

چکیده

Incorporating gamification into foreign language learning is a successful and effective strategy for improving learners' level of skills helping them to master communication with others. This study aimed determine the impact Kahoot, gamification-based technological application, on English vocabulary academic purposes motivation. Thus, 60 students were selected from among university enrolled in Language Academic Purposes course. These randomly split two equal classes: control experimental groups. Test was given both groups following pre-test, group receiving Kahoot instruction while received traditional instruction. The teaching continued ten weeks, after which tested post-test same learned. Moreover, motivation scale used identify effect enhancing students' toward purposes. results showed positive extent (of tool based gamification)
